Tri-Club Meeting w/ Orinda & Piedmont

Tri-Club meeting
Wednesday, February 26th at The Orinda Country Club
Lunch to follow in Orinda Garden Club members’ homes.

The Orinda Garden Club and Piedmont Garden Club are inviting the Marin Garden Club members to the Orinda Country Club to hear an informative presentation on how the League to Save Lake Tahoe is using innovative technology, advocacy, and community engagement trying to protect Northern California’s precious natural resource. As weather extremes become more frequent, featuring periods of prolonged drought followed by intense amounts of precipitation, Lake Tahoe is experiencing stress not seen in our lifetime. Our speakers, League to Save Lake Tahoe CEO Darcie Collins and CSO Jesse Patterson will discuss how the League’s management, leadership, and strategies are used to protect the Lake. Dr. Collins earned her doctorate at the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she studied marine and lake science and management.
