MARIN ART & GARDEN CENTER

Marin Art & Garden Center

Marin Art and Garden Center (MAGC) is a beautiful oasis of gardens on an historic property in Ross. It offers environmental and horticultural education programs, wedding venues, a local theater, an art gallery, and a pre-school.

The 11-acre parcel across the street from the Ross Town Hall was saved from development in 1945 when members of Marin Garden Club raised funds for the initial down payment on the property. With help from a coalition of other conservation groups, Marin Art and Garden Center came into being. Nearly 100,000 people visit MAGC each year.

In the upper garden, an area is designated as the Memory Garden. This permanent garden, established in 1948, is maintained by members of Marin Garden Club as a place of quiet beauty for remembering.

Marin Garden Club also underwrites several MAGC speaker programs each year.
